Position
Summary:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Human Resources department in administering various Human Resources related duties as well as clerical duties for the organization.
This position works closely with Human Resources, Program, and Fiscal to ensure that benefits, interviews, paperwork, administrative duties, and other various responsibilities are done in an effective and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
Assists in maintenance of staff personnel files as needed (scanning files, attaching, etc.
) Provides assistance in monthly benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Retirement) and scheduling.
Assists in Recruitment by:
Scheduling interviews through Indeed and other Recruitment platforms.
Administering new hire paperwork and preemployment forms.
Tracking new hires preemployment/onboarding.
Updates all HR spreadsheets as needed.
Assists in proper training of staff and onboarding as needed by the Training Coordinator and Human Resources.
Attends 1-on-1 meetings with Human Resources.
Learns and assists in ADP HR and Payroll software functions Works in conjunction with Human Resources in conducting 90-day and 180-day follow-ups with new hires.
Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Various Clerical/Administrative duties such as:
Answering the main phone and directing calls to the proper person.
Assisting Program, Human Resources, and Fiscal with filing and paperwork as needed.
UniFirst ordering and distribution.
Ordering supplies and other items.
Other Administrative tasks as needed.
Other Clerical, administrative and HR duties as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 is required.
Proper knowledge of computers and other technology is preferred.
Typing skills.
Data input and chart organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team setting as well as individual environment depending on the situation.
Knowledge of employment law implementations or ability to learn is preferred.
Proper phone etiquette is required.
Ability to work in an office setting, sit/stand for prolonged periods of time, and to work in front of a computer screen for long portions of the workday.
The ability to work one-on-one with people is preferred.
Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience in the IDD field is a plus.
Other skills and abilities as needed.
